Genesis 1-6

Introduction

1.       The science/God debate over the origin of the universe

a.       Something does not come from nothing

b.       Life does not come from non-living matter

2.       The place of Genesis in the debate – a record given to Moses from the only One who was there

a.       God clearly instructed Adam on his duties and obligations in the Garden – Gen 2:15-17a

a.       Sin began with a failure to respect God in worship – Gen 4:1-5
